I never even heard about this place, and would have driven right past if someone hadn’t told me about it. This is a pretty new restaurant, and a must go to if you haven’t already. 20 of us showed up and packed their patio. They did a really good job with the sudden arrival of a big group. Staff was really friendly, the food looks and tasted great, and their prices are good. Even their plating looked better than most high end restaurants. If you are in the area, check them out! You won’t be disappointed.
I do not often write reviews but I felt our experience at Grandpa’s compelled me to do one. I can strongly recommend a trip to dine at this restaurant. The service was great, the food was delicious and attention to detail was strongly noted. My wife ordered an espresso martini which was probably one of the best she has tasted, and she has had a few lol! They did not serve it up until it was perfected, and I would give 5 stars for that alone. The restaurant was spotlessly clean including the wash room. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and no rush to serve up your bill unlike very many other restaurants who deliver the bill as soon as you put your cutlery down. I wish I took our servers name but she was awesome and ensured we were satisfied with everything. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favour and support this locally run business and experience some great freshly cooked Mexican food, you will not be disappointed! We might go back just to experience more cocktails
We had the best time at Grandpa’s Cafe this afternoon. We had the Nacho Fries and the Chicken Burrito and were blown away by how good it was. The homemade chips and salsa to start was also amazing! We will definitely be coming back.
Easy to place an order, did so over the phone. The restaurant was clean! Food delicious and ingredients tasted fresh!! Very good and fast, ready in about 20 mins.
Grandpa’s Cafe does specials on the weekends (love that!), this weekend they had a shrimp taco special and it was absolutely delicious! They also have a great cocktail selection, I tried the pina colada which was so yummy and refreshing! Service was excellent - fast and friendly! I will most definitely be back soon.
We had amazing food tonight. The rice and beans were delicious! The cheesecake was home-made and really creamy! Our server Gracie was very attentive and sweet!
Lil Grandson was there last week, took a pic of him under The sign. So we went today, nice restaraunt layout, luv huge booths, food was very good, excellent presentation. We had chips salsa, beef and chicken tacos, Mexican ceasar salad and shrimp appy. Very good pricing except the beer. Looking forward to wh3n the patio opens. Will be back
Shocked in a great way...Blumenort...featuring all of two restaurants for evening dining makes up for it in a big way with this hidden jewel. Menu created by executive chef supported by a strong and dedicated front of house and sous. The ingredients are bright, fresh, and flavorful, there is enough simplicity and variety in the menu that it's not begrudgingly self righteous but deliciously fulfilling at a very reasonable price. Corona High, pulled pork soup, and chicken enchiladas ran about 30-35. Lots more to explore here.
